ISTT Prize

The ISTT Prize is a prestigious award conferred by the International Society for Transgenic Technologies (ISTT), with a generous sponsorship of genOway, on investigators who have made outstanding contributions to the field of transgenic technologies. The TT2019 will welcome the 12th of those distinguished scientists on the awardee list. The winner of the 12th ISTT Prize will be Dr. Llusis Montoliu of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), National Centre for Biotechnology (CNB), Madrid, Span. He will present his Award Lecture at TT2019. Congratulations, Dr. Moutoliu!

Young Investigator Award

ISTT Young Investigator Award was established by the International Society for Transgenic Research (ISTT) to recognize outstanding young investigators whose work are likely to advance the field of transgenic technologies with new ideas and who has recently progressed in his/her advanced professional career. This activity is supported by an independent medical education grant from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

The 6th ISTT Yong Investigator Award has been awarded to Dr. Bin Gu, Developmental and Stem Cell Biology Program, The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada. The 3Rs Prize

In December 2014, the ISTT instituted the 3Rs Committee whose role is to support and promote implementation of the 3Rs in the development and application of transgenic technologies. Across our international organization, there must be a number of individuals who are making exceptional efforts to replace (partially or absoluteluy), to reduce and/or to refine their use of experimental animals.

It was at TT2017 in Snowbird, Utah, that the 3Rs Committee/ISTT offered the first 3Rs Prize. At TT2019, the second 3Rs Prize will be awarded, and the awardee will be invited to present his/her work during the Session – Ethics and the 3Rs and receives a monetary award.

Travel & Registration Awards

ISTT and Sponsors will offer a limited number of Travel and Registration Awards to TT2019 participants who are active members of the Society. Best Poster Awards

The ISTT Best Poster Awards recognize outstanding work presented by participants at TT Meetings. The ISTT Best Poster Awards are generously supported by Charles River Laboratories International, Inc. Winners of the next Awards will be selected from all the posters presented at the TT2019 Meeting. The scientific and technical quality of the poster, the novelty of the results, and the appearance of the poster are among the major criteria that will be considered by the judges.
